  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a jelly roll pan.
  2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until thick and ribbon-like.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients gently.
  5. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 11 minutes.
  6. While hot, roll the sponge in a sugared towel and let cool.
  7. Prepare the filling by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Unroll the cooled cake, spread with filling, and re-roll tightly.
