This Cowboy Butter Dipping Sauce is rich, zesty, garlicky, herby, and irresistibly buttery.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup (1 stick / 113g) unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: pinch of cayenne or dash of hot sauce
Instructions
- Warm the butter in a small saucepan over low heat until fully melted.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).
- Add lemon juice, Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until combined.
- Remove from heat and stir in parsley and chives. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Pour into a small bowl or ramekin and serve warm as a dip, drizzle, or sauce.
