Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, thyme, and basil. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
