Description
Easy Creamy Chicken Dish: The Ultimate Comfort Food!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, thyme, and basil. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
