Description

Creamy Crock Pot Chicken Marsala is a comforting dish that combines tender chicken with a rich, velvety sauce and earthy mushrooms.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • ½ cup dry Marsala wine
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic and mushrooms until softened.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper; place them in the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Layer the sautéed mushroom mixture over the chicken.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and Marsala wine; stir gently to combine without disturbing the chicken.
  5. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 4 hours. Stir in heavy cream before serving and warm through for 10 minutes.
