Description

Easy Crockpot Pear Butter is a cozy, sweet, and spiced spread made with ripe pears, brown sugar, and warm pumpkin pie spice—all slow-cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ripe pears (about 4 pounds), preferably Bartlett or Anjou
  • 1 tablespoon bottled lemon juice
  • 1½ cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel, core, and cut pears into eighths for quicker cooking.
  2. Add pears to a 6-quart slow cooker with lemon juice, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until pears are soft and fragrant.
  4. Let mixture cool slightly, then blend with an immersion or stand blender until smooth. For a rustic texture, mash with a potato masher.
  5. Transfer to sterilized jars. Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks, freeze up to 6 months, or water-bath can for long-term storage.
