Description

Enjoy these easy and delicious Hot Italian Sub Sliders, perfect for parties or any gathering. They feature a sweet roll base filled with savory Italian meats, spicy peppers, and melted provolone cheese, all topped with a garlic butter glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Kings Hawaiian Rolls (or similar connected dinner rolls)
  • 6 oz Ham, thinly sliced
  • 5 oz Salami, thinly sliced
  • 5 oz Pepperoni, thinly sliced
  • 9 slices Provolone Cheese
  • ⅓ cup Pepperoncini, sliced
  • ⅓ cup Pickled Hot Cherry Peppers, sliced
  • ¼ cup Salted Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • Optional: 1 cup Marinara Sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the dinner rolls horizontally in half. Place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  3. Layer the ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, sliced pepperoncini, and sliced hot cherry peppers evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  4. Place the top halves of the rolls over the layered ingredients.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and crushed garlic.
  6. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Cover the baking sheet loosely with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tops are golden brown.
  9. Slice the sliders into individual portions and serve warm, with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • For a fresher taste, use fresh herbs instead of Italian seasoning.
  • Fresh garlic provides the best flavor.
  • Olive oil can be used as a lighter alternative to butter for the topping.
  • Roasted red peppers can be used for a milder flavor than hot cherry peppers.
  • Jalapeños can be substituted for pepperoncini for extra heat.
  • Cheddar cheese can be used instead of provolone.
  • Turkey or roast beef can replace ham.
  • Chorizo can substitute for pepperoni.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for added color.
