Delicious Italian Turkey Meatballs Recipe

- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs using your hands or an ice cream scoop.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches and brown on all sides for about 6-8 minutes.
- Pour marinara sauce over the browned meatballs in the skillet. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve hot with extra sauce and garnish with fresh basil or more parmesan.
Notes
- These meatballs are great for meal prep.
- You can freeze the uncooked meatballs for later use.
