Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 soft pita breads
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup diced cucumbers
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts, coating them well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and grill for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Let rest.
- Warm pitas on the grill or in a skillet until soft.
- Slice grilled chicken into strips and place inside warm pita bread with crumbled feta cheese and fresh veggies.
- Drizzle tzatziki sauce over the assembled gyros before serving.
