Description
Indulge in the rich, fudgy goodness of these small batch brownies, perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings without the guilt of overindulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, and salt until combined.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until bubbly but not boiling. Allow it to cool slightly before adding sugar.
- Stir the granulated sugar into the melted butter until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until glossy.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and enjoy warm, perhaps with a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
- These brownies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For a richer flavor, add chocolate chips to the batter.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra treat.
