🍳🧀 Mini Oeufs au Four avec Jambon et Fromage 🧀🍳
Ingredients:
6 large eggs
6 slices of deli ham (thin, preferably round)
1/2 cup shredded Gruyère cheese (or Swiss cheese)
2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional, for richness)
1 tablespoon chopped chives or parsley (for garnish)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Non-stick cooking spray or a little butter (for greasing)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 6-cup muffin tin with non-stick spray or butter.
Prepare the Ham Cups:
Gently press one slice of ham into each muffin cup, forming a little cup or nest. Make sure it comes up the sides.
Add the Cheese:
Sprinkle a generous pinch of shredded Gruyère into the bottom of each ham cup.
Crack the Eggs:
Carefully crack one egg into each cup on top of the cheese. If desired, drizzle a small amount (about 1 teaspoon) of heavy cream over each egg for added richness.
Season:
Sprinkle a pinch of salt and a little freshly ground black pepper on each egg.
Bake:
Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on how runny or set you prefer your yolks. For soft yolks, check around 12 minutes; for firmer yolks, go up to 15.
Garnish and Serve:
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for 1–2 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edges and lift out each mini baked egg. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley and serve warm.
