- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1 tablespoon dry minced onion

- 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Caramelized onion jam (for topping)
- Hamburger dill pickle chips
- Toothpicks for assembly
Instructions
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Lightly spray them with cooking oil. Bake according to package directions, usually at 425°F (218°C), until golden brown and crispy. Let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dry minced onion. Mix gently. Form into small, thin patties, slightly smaller than the tater tot bases.
- Cook mini patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 2–3 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Place a small square of cheese on top of each cooked patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover briefly to melt the cheese.
- Assemble your Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers by placing a cheesy beef patty on a tater tot base. Add a dab of ketchup, mustard, or a pickle slice if desired. Top with another tater tot and press gently.
- Serve immediately while warm.
