- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound crab meat, lump or shredded
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Seafood: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the crab meat.
- Make the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Layer the Lasagna: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Add Cheese Mixture: Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the seafood mixture and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat Layers: Add another layer of marinara sauce, 3 more noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture, the remaining seafood mixture, and another third of the mozzarella cheese.
- Final Layer: Place the last 3 noodles on top, cover with the remaining marinara sauce, and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Cool: Once baked, remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top before serving.
