Description
A quick and delicious Shrimp Garlic Butter Angel recipe, transforming pantry staples into a restaurant-quality meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Parmesan cheese, grated, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Gather and prep by measuring pasta, peeling shrimp, mincing garlic, juicing lemon, and chopping parsley.
- In a large pot, boil salted water and cook angel hair to al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Heat a skillet to medium-high, melt 1-2 tbsp butter with olive oil, and add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Reduce heat to medium, add garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté until fragrant (30-60 seconds). Be cautious not to brown the garlic.
- Deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine or reserved pasta water. Add cooked pasta, shrimp, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, tossing to coat.
- Finish with a knob of butter off heat and sprinkle chopped parsley before serving.
- Plate and garnish with Parmesan cheese and lemon wedges.
Notes
To make the dish creamier, consider adding heavy cream or mascarpone during the sauce-building step. Customize with your favorite herbs or vegetables.
