Description

A quick and delicious Shrimp Garlic Butter Angel recipe, transforming pantry staples into a restaurant-quality meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese, grated, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather and prep by measuring pasta, peeling shrimp, mincing garlic, juicing lemon, and chopping parsley.
  2. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook angel hair to al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Heat a skillet to medium-high, melt 1-2 tbsp butter with olive oil, and add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté until fragrant (30-60 seconds). Be cautious not to brown the garlic.
  5. Deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine or reserved pasta water. Add cooked pasta, shrimp, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, tossing to coat.
  6. Finish with a knob of butter off heat and sprinkle chopped parsley before serving.
  7. Plate and garnish with Parmesan cheese and lemon wedges.

Notes

To make the dish creamier, consider adding heavy cream or mascarpone during the sauce-building step. Customize with your favorite herbs or vegetables.
