Description

A delicious snack combining smoky brisket and gooey cheese inside a soft pretzel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb smoked brisket, chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickled jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped smoked brisket, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, pickled jalapeños (if using), black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed. This is your smoked brisket cheese filling.
  3. Open the package of biscuit dough. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your hands or a rolling pin to create a small disc.
  4. Place a spoonful of the smoked brisket cheese mixture onto the center of each flattened biscuit.
  5. Carefully fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the filling, pinching firmly to seal and form a ball around the brisket and cheese mixture. Ensure there are no gaps for the filling to escape during baking. You are creating a smoked brisket cheese pretzel bomb.
  6. Place the formed pretzel bombs onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
  7. Brush the tops of the pretzel bombs with the beaten egg.
  8. Sprinkle the tops generously with everything bagel seasoning and coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pretzel bombs are golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Let the smoked brisket cheese pretzel bombs cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your ultimate smoked brisket cheese pretzel creation.

Notes

  • For an easier version, you can use store-bought pretzel dough if available.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapeños to your spice preference.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or mustard.
