- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1 jar pepperoncini peppers (with juice)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or oil.
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the chicken.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper over the chicken.
- Cut the butter into cubes and distribute them over the seasoned chicken.
- Pour the jar of pepperoncini peppers, including juice, over the chicken and butter.
- Cover the slow cooker and set to low for 4 to 6 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker using two forks.
- Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve over rice, in a sandwich, or with your favorite sides.
