Description
Stir-Fried Chinese Garlic Chicken is an incredible dish featuring tender chicken and fresh vegetables, all infused with garlic and ginger.

- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- While the chicken is marinating, chop the bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, and green onions. Set aside.
- In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
- Toss in the bell pepper, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Stir everything together, allowing the flavors to meld for another 2-3 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
- Sprinkle sliced green onions on top for a fresh touch.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
