Description
This Easy Turkey Panini recipe is a quick and delicious sandwich perfect for a satisfying lunch or light dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices ciabatta or sourdough bread
- 8 oz sliced turkey breast
- 4 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
- 1 cup baby spinach or lettuce
- 4 to 6 pickle slices or pepperoncini
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard or aioli
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Slice the ciabatta or sourdough bread and gather all other ingredients including cheese, turkey, greens, and pickles to prepare for assembly.
- Evenly spread Dijon mustard or aioli on the inside surfaces of each bread slice to add flavor and moisture.
- On one slice of bread, layer the sliced turkey breast, followed by the provolone or Swiss cheese, then add the baby spinach or lettuce, and top with pickle slices or pepperoncini for a tangy crunch.
- Place the other slice of bread on top to form the sandwich. Brush the outside of the sandwich generously with olive oil or melted butter to help achieve a golden, crispy crust when grilled.
- Heat a panini press or a skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich, pressing down firmly, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 3 to 5 minutes per side if using a skillet.
- Remove the panini from the grill or panini press, slice it in half, and serve warm for the best taste and texture.
