Description

A refreshing and tangy lemonade that’s a classic at summer fairs, easy to make, and perfect for warm days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 56 medium-sized lemons, juiced
  • 200 g (1 cup) granulated sugar
  • 240 ml (1 cup) warm water
  • 720 ml (3 cups) cold water
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the granulated sugar with warm water in a pitcher, whisking until the sugar is dissolved, about 1–2 minutes.
  2. Juice the lemons until you have about 240 ml of lemon juice, straining out seeds and pulp if desired.
  3. Add the lemon juice to the sugar syrup and stir well. Optionally, mix in a pinch of salt.
  4. Pour in cold water, taste, and adjust sweetness as needed with more sugar or lemon juice.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until well chilled, then serve over ice.

Notes

Taste and adjust sweetness before serving. Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
