Description
A vibrant dessert featuring a sweet, buttery crust topped with a creamy glaze and an array of fresh fruits.
Ingredients
Scale
- 250 g (2 cups) All-Purpose Flour
- 113 g (1 stick, softened) Butter
- 150 g (¾ cup) Granulated Sugar
- 50 g (¼ cup) Brown Sugar
- 5 g (1 tsp) Baking Powder
- 1 g (¼ tsp) Salt
- 1 large Egg
- 226 g (8 oz, softened) Cream Cheese
- 120 g (1 cup) Powdered Sugar
- 5 ml (1 tsp) Vanilla Extract
- Fresh Fruits (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, blueberries)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed butter mixture while mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Add the egg to the dough and mix until incorporated. Transfer the dough into a greased 9-inch round baking pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom and slightly up the sides.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely in the pan.
- Prepare the glaze by beating together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese glaze evenly over the cooled crust. Arrange fresh fruits on top, artfully decorating the surface.
Notes
