Description
A recipe for crafting the juiciest hamburgers, perfect for impressing family and friends at any cookout.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 g (1 lb) ground beef (80/20 blend)
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Burger buns
- Toppings (cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc.)
Instructions
- Prepare the patties by gently forming the ground beef into four equal patties, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick. Make a small indent in each patty.
- Season each patty with salt and pepper just before cooking.
- Cook the patties on a preheated grill or skillet for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Toast the buns cut-side down until golden and crisp while burgers are cooking.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun and adding your favorite toppings.
Notes
Avoid pressing the patties while cooking to retain juiciness. You can shape patties ahead of time and refrigerate them.
